  • Dale Gubbels, CEO of First Star Recycling, receives 2013 Green Bellevue Environment Champion Award

    Each year for the Green Bellevue Earth Day Celebration, Green Bellevue recognizes members of the local community. "The Environment Champion Award is given to those who demonstrated outstanding work in promotion of sustainable, green practices."

    Dale Gubbels, founder and CEO of First Star Recycling, will be presented with the certificate at the Leadership Bellevue Tour on October 9, 2013.

  • First Star Recycling Educates UNO Business Students

    First Star was mentioned in article from the UNO College of Business Administration's 2011-2012 "Year In Review" magazine.

    In May, business students in the business sustainability club Green Basis took a tour of our recycling plant. Not only do they now have a better understanding of the recycling process, but we also discussed the various benefits to businesses diverting their waste from the landfill.
