First Star Recycling Public Tours - Come See Recycling In Action!

First Star Recycling is participating in the second annual Recycling in Action initiative, which is organized by The Washington-based Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) designed to show the public what happens after recyclable materials are put in a bin. Available public tour dates are May 6, 9-10:30 am and May 14, 1-2:30pm and attendees can learn more and sign up at Tour Schedule — First Star Recycling.

APR says many people don’t fully understand what happens after they place a plastic container in a recycling bin. This May, 36 material recovery facilities (MRFs) and plastic reclaimers in 20 states including Nebraska, will offer tours giving the public a firsthand look at the recycling process, adds the association.
